Personal Training

Fitness and exercise are becoming more and more advertised as a "prescription" for wellness and health. It finally is becoming a topic of interest for our healthcare providers, so much so that we now claim the month of May as " Exercise is Medicine Month."

ExerciseisMedicine.org states the following:
"Physical inactivity is a fast-growing public health problem in this country and contributes to a variety of chronic dieseases and health complications, including obesity, coronary artery disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, depression and anxiety, arthritis and osteoporosis."

Not only is it a significant health problem in this country but it also the cause of a significant strain on the finances of many Americans. This has become an absurdly vicious circle for many Americans and it is an incredible task to come out safely.

Our staff hopes to assist people in creating an environment that is supportive and motivational in order to assist clients in making significant and rewarding life changes. It is a known fact that people who are healthy are more efficient in the workplace, are sick less often and can function in their daily activities with ease. If you don't do it for yourself, who will?

The Fitness Assessment

There are six components to the fitness assessment:

1. Body Composition
2. Posture
3. Muscular Strength
4. Muscular Endurance
5. Cardiovascular
6. Flexibility

The results of these assessments are used to create a baseline profile for our clients and to better track progress. It is a tool used for motivation and encouragement as well as to design a program with the client's health and personal goals in mind.

Personal Training

Personal Training is the most intensive fitness program we offer. Our commitment to reaching your goals begins with a detailed Fitness Assessment and a statement of the clients goals and commitment to their health.

By meeting with clients two or more times per week, we provide assistance in a variety of areas. In addition to traditional weight training and cardio exercises, we provide other modalities such as functional training, flexibility training and dance fusion. Activities will be recommened for off-days, and attention will be directed to posture-related issures when needed. With the assistance and consent of the clien'ts doctor, we take into account each client's individual health risk factors when designing training sessions. These include obesity, hypetension, diabetes, etc.
